A CD/DVD burning application for MATE Desktop forked from GNOME's Brasero by Philippe Rouquier. Parrillada is a CD/DVD mastering tool for the MATE Desktop. It is designed to be simple and easy to use.
DVDStyler is a DVD authoring application. It allows to create professional-looking DVDs with interactive navigation menus, and can master and burn the resulting images. DVDStyler can also be used for photo slideshows, mixing in audio, or adding subtitles. Common media formats like VOB, AVI, MOV, MP4, MPEG, WMV, OGG, DivX, MP3, AC3, Xvid are supported.
libburnia is a project comprised of libraries and binaries for reading, mastering, and writing optical discs. It provides libburn, a CD/DVD/BD burn library, libisofs, a manipulation library for ISO 9660 filesystems, and libisoburn, a ISO 9660 multi-session library. On top of them there is cdrskin, a cdrecord emulator, and xorriso, a all-in-one application for ISO 9660 multi-session operations which additionaly provides a limited emulation of mkisofs.
lsdvd is a terminal application which retrieves meta information about a DVD and displays it. It reveals the number and type of tracks, video or audio information, eventual subtitles, etc. It can print out plain text or XML, and even Perl or Ruby code for easy integration.
