Perl 5.30.0Perl is a family of high-level, general-purpose, and dynamically interpreted programming languages. It borrows some syntax from C, Unix Shells, and AWK or SED, and more or less reinvented modern regular expressions. Perl 5 is the current mainstream version, with over 20 years of development. CPAN provides a modular packaging system, and allows Perl to be used for web applications, graphics programming, networking, system adminstration, and many sciency applications. |
