SoundSteper is a software-only control tool for step motors used with telescopes. It works in real-time, operates over a sound card, and requires an analog sound amplifier, works with up to 4 moters in parallel; provides sync and go-to modes or joystick control even. It runs on Windows.

5.1.3.27623 Nov 2014 02:45 minor feature: The major new feature is the GEM positioning concept. For GEM, the max distance from meridian is now fixed at 180 degrees. The new concept of park position for GEM: Now, the HA park position specified on config window is simply the position of the mount axle: zero is "telescope up, counterweight down" position, +90 is "telescope west, counterweight east", and -90 is "telescope east, counterweight west". The park position range is now limited from -90 to +90 degrees (-180 to +180 does not makes sense for GEM anymore). Now, in config window, You must choose the pierside of park position.
